This comic is based on state school teenagers of different cultural backgrounds, some with special educational needs, brought together as friends through a marble-based competitive game called Drainball. After witnessing a thrilling game being played for the first time, the protagonist is shown the ropes, eventually joining the Drainball club and moving up the ranks.

Their biggest rival, The Academy, are known to dominate the State school both academically and athletically. However, Drainball is the only rare matchup where the State school have the upper hand…or do they? Through a humorous series of adventures and storylines, the outcome is truly compelling.

Drainball also features a comic-within-a-comic mini-series, as well as a unique blend of greyscale and colour artwork with a smooth transition from one comic to another.
